Sy’ah offers internship opportunities during the summer to college students that are currently enrolled in an
undergraduate or graduate level degree program.

The program is designed to recruit and hire top quality interns to feed the talent pipeline for Sy’ah . These opportunities are available in Karachi only.

We focus on identifying high-quality, challenging internships and recruiting the very best candidates to fill these positions. This will allow us to fully evaluate students and identify any suitable entry-level positions available within the business.

Student Qualifications

- Junior, senior or graduate school level at an accredited university
- Major in the sciences, business, statistics, public health
- 3.0 or greater cumulative GPA
- Track record of achievement and leadership in work and/or extracurricular activities
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Evidence of leadership and teamwork skills
- Desire for a career in the healthcare industry

Program Guidelines

- Student Internship Program will run 10-12 weeks from May through August.
- All internships positions are paid internships. Students do not need to receive academic credit from their university.
- Qualified candidates must meet the criteria set above.

Recruitment Process

- Recruitment begins in January for the summer program. Positions will be posted via this website on an ongoing basis in January and February.

Sy’ah Business Education Program

This program offers Karachi high school juniors and seniors an opportunity to learn business skills and gain an awareness of business operations in a corporate environment. They are given a heads-up on some of the career options that are available to them even before they become a college student.

The program:

The program provides realistic work experience that consists of a one on one relationship with supervisor that gives them exposure to business and office skills and increases the students’ self-esteem and motivates them to pursue higher education. Depending on the interest and capabilities of the candidate there are multiple opportunities for compelling
summer internships:

Website Content Authoring:

Expanding our direct to consumer website; tasks would include authoring of content on our Content Management System, creation of social networking content (Facebook, Twitter) and more. Strong writing skills required, ideally a candidate with an interest in technology and more than one advanced English courses.

Data and Analytics:

Running, exporting and formatting ad hoc reporting requests; review, process and analyze data; Experience with Excel ideal. Strong math background preferred.

Product Management / Marketing:

Ad hoc research requests into forward-looking topics that may end up on the roadmap in the future, competitive analysis and evaluation of competitor products. Math / science background preferred. Development of content for product marketing materials (presentations, collateral).

Recruitment Process

To be eligible for the program, students must:
- Currently be in their junior year/ O Levels attending a high school located within the city of Karachi
- Have a “B” or better academic average
- Have excellent attendance and punctuality
- Be able to obtain conveyance that will enable them to arrive at our offices no later than 2:30 PM Monday through Saturday and 9:30 AM during summer holidays
- Have an understanding that participating in the this program will limit their ability to participate in extracurricular
activities/groups/programs

opportunities are available at Karachi and Lahore.

We focus on identifying high-quality, challenging rotations and recruiting the very best candidates to fill these positions. This will allow us to fully evaluate students and identify any suitable entry-level positions available within the business.

Work Cycles

Co-op placements run 4-6 months throughout the academic calendar year and require the student to work between 35-40 hours/week. All positions are paid.

Sy’ah employment cycles include:

January – June
March – September
June – December
September – March

Student Qualifications

- Undergraduate (sophomore, junior or senior) or graduate (Masters) student at an accredited university
- Student must be enrolled in school full-time throughout the entire co-op work cycle
- Student must be available to work full-time throughout the entire co-op work cycle (4-6 months) 3.0 or greater cumulative GPA
- Track record of achievement and leadership in work and/or extracurricular activities
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Evidence of leadership and teamwork skills
- Desire for a career in the healthcare industry
- Students with work experience in their major area of study including previous co-ops preferred

Recruitment Process

Recruitment for the January or March co-op cycle begins in September; recruitment for the June or September co-op cycle begins in March.
